The most common reason to visit us is for your routine dental examination. Visiting your dentist every six or twelve months will help us keep track of any issues and prevent any problems that could need further treatment down the line. We use these examinations to keep an eye on how effective your oral hygiene regime is and whether you need to change your brushing techniques at home. We will also take x-rays to get a good idea of what is going on under the surface.
Using a variety of different treatments, we can restore teeth so they are as good as new. Whether they need repairing due to a cavity or through an injury, restorations such as white fillings and crowns can aesthetically repair a tooth. If you need to have more complicated treatment such as a root canal, you may need a filling or a crown to restore the treated tooth.
Our teeth are subject to a lot during our life-times so it’s no surprise that teeth can be damaged or even come out. In some cases, we may need to extract teeth to relieve pain or prevent further problems. We offer different options when it comes to replacing missing teeth. Bridges, dentures and implants each have their own benefits but can all restore functionality and appearance to a smile.

As a family dental practice, our dentists at Aurora Dental Clinic, Corsham like to make sure your children also have healthy teeth from the moment the first one comes through. We recommend regular examinations from the age of two years on-wards so we can help teach your child how best to look after their teeth.
We can further protect young teeth using fissure sealants. This thin plastic coating covers the biting surface of the tooth, protecting the thin grooves so no debris can become stuck and cause dental decay. Sealants can be applied to any tooth with pits or fissures, provided the surface is sound and it has no previous fillings.
